Our Programs

Every program area is shaped around one goal: helping rural households build a sustainable, self reliant future.

How We Work

Programs built with communities, not for them

Every program below responds to a real need identified by the community itself. Alongside each one, we invest in a wider paradigm shift, helping households move from dependency towards lasting self reliance.

Education and Child Sponsorship program photo

Education and Child Sponsorship

Many children in the rural communities we serve are vulnerable or orphaned and cannot afford scholastic materials or school fees. We identify these children, provide books and learning materials, and connect them with sponsors so they can stay in school and build a better future.

Health Outreach and Campaigns program photo

Health Outreach and Campaigns

We organize health campaigns that bring basic health education, hygiene promotion and disease prevention messaging directly to households in rural and pastoralist communities, including areas that are rarely reached by other services.

Food, Nutrition and Hunger Relief program photo

Food, Nutrition and Hunger Relief

Hunger and malnutrition remain a daily reality for many families we work with. We support feeding for malnourished babies, assist adults facing severe hunger, and teach caregivers about balanced, affordable nutrition using locally available foods.

Agriculture and Food Security program photo

Agriculture and Food Security

Our approach to agriculture starts with what a household already has. We work with farmers to make better use of available land, tools and local resources, improving yields and food security in a way that is sustainable for the long term.

Water and Sanitation program photo

Water and Sanitation

In many of the villages we visit, families still depend on unprotected, contaminated water sources. We assess these water points with local leaders, raise awareness on safe water handling, and advocate for improved water and sanitation infrastructure.

Economic Empowerment program photo

Economic Empowerment

Through savings groups, livelihood training and poverty alleviation campaigns, we help households increase and stabilize their income. The goal is always sustainable self reliance, not short term handouts.

Climate Change and Environmental Resilience program photo

Climate Change and Environmental Resilience

Rural livelihoods depend directly on the land and weather. We run climate change awareness campaigns that help farmers and families understand the changes affecting them and adopt practices that protect the environment they depend on.

Family Transformation and Conflict Resolution program photo

Family Transformation and Conflict Resolution

Our team mediates and reconciles families, works to reduce domestic and gender based violence, and supports self reliance programs that help families rebuild trust and stability at home and within the wider community.

Youth Empowerment and Leadership Development program photo

Youth Empowerment and Leadership Development

Guided by our founder's own background as a youth activist and peace ambassador, we equip young people with leadership skills, peacebuilding training and platforms for civic participation, so they can drive change in their own communities.

Spiritual Ministry and Church Partnerships

TVIA is also a nonprofit spiritual ministry that supports Christians and churches in every way it can. Through a team of pastors and reverends, we share the gospel with people who need Christ in their lives, carry out door to door evangelism, and baptize and pray for people who are heartbroken or struggling. We currently partner with more than twenty local churches. Because the Bible calls people to work hard, we also train church youth in livelihood skills such as piggery, poultry, goat rearing, agribusiness and farming, so their faith and their income can grow together.
