Transforming villages to sustainable development

TVIA is a community based organization empowering rural households across Western and North Eastern Uganda through education, health, agriculture, water, and economic empowerment programs rooted in the community itself.

Who We Are

Community led development, built on what people already have

TVIA is a non-profit, community based organization registered by the district Local Government. We focus on empowering communities by helping households make better use of the resources already available to them, in a way that lasts.

We work alongside families in impoverished, rural areas of Uganda, promoting solidarity and grassroots development so communities can design and carry out their own poverty alleviation strategies.

What We Do

Programs that meet real, everyday needs

Every TVIA program grows out of a need identified by the community itself, from a dry water source to a child who has dropped out of school.
